- 95.4% of households give to charity. The average annual household contribution is $2,974. In 2013, the largest source of charitable giving came from individuals at $241.32 billion, or 72% of total giving; followed by foundations ($50.28 billion/15%), bequests ($26.81 billion/8%), and corporations ($16.76 billion/5%). In 2013, the majority of charitable dollars went to religion (31%), education (16%), human services (12%), and grant making foundations (11%).

Asian Americans are the fastest growing racial group in the United States. With an estimated population of 18.9 million in 2012, Asian Americans are projected to reach over 40.6 million by 2050. More than 130 Asian-American Baptist churches, congregations and fellowship groups exist within ABCUSA. These groups are comprised of first-, second- and third-generation Asian-Americans, and their descendants include Japanese, Filipinos, Chinese, Koreans, Indians, Burmese, Chins, Karens, Kachins, Mienh, Vietnamese, Thais, Laotians, Indonesians and Cambodians. More than 18 different languages and dialects are spoken.

The Latino population of 52 million Hispanics currently lives in the country, which accounts for one in six Americans, according to the Census Bureau. Projections indicate that by 2050, the Latino population will total about 132.8 million people, or 30% of the total population. According to Pew Research, more than 2/3 thirds of Hispanics (68%) identify themselves as Roman Catholics. The next largest category, at 15%, is made up of born-again or evangelical Protestants. Nearly one-in-ten (8%) Latinos do not identify with any religion.
